Or maybe Raleigh has learned from Al Gore that gullible folks will believe any old crap if you make it sound scary enough.  Since Raleigh has outgrown it's water supply, they've taken up the only viable option for them to solve their water crisis.

Steal it from everyone else downstream.

Thus our 'drought' that has caused the powers that be in Raleigh to restrict the flow of water along the Neuse river by reducing outflow at the dam.  To solve their problems.  I guess us rubes in flyover country don't need water.  Hell, every self-respecting liberal in Wake county knows us rubes in the country don't bathe anyway.  (Anywhere outside the Triangle is pretty much fly-over country to UNC & Duke elitists.  I mean, by God, they have military bases there, of all things)

Of course, they could just buy it from neighboring water districts that haven't squandered theirs, but hey, that would be capitalist.  Much better to confiscate it in the traditional communist way.

In the meantime, I'm getting thirsty.  Think I'll go have a nice cold glass of ice dust.
